I
don't have an email address...
Actually, you don't even need an email address or
even a computer to have a web site when it comes right down
to it. You can just use your web site as a source of
information for the viewer to see what your company offers
and how they can contact you, via telephone and mailing
address. Of
course to have a computer and email address is to your
benefit.
What
is Email Alias?
An email alias is an email address which we set up that
gets forwarded to your personal or business email address.
For example, if you had a business name www.countrylifestyle.com
we could set up an email address such as info@countrylifestyle.com
which would then forward any messages to your regular email
address whether you use Hotmail, Yahoo or any other email
account. An email address which matches your business
looks very professional and reliable.
I
don't know a lot about computers. Is this going to be
a problem?
Not at all... that is what we are here for.
If everyone was a computer wiz, we wouldn't be in business.
The information we need from you is what you would like on
your website. If you do have an email address, this
would be more convenient as you could just email us the
information you would like to include and we would then post
it.
What
is the easiest and most affordable way to get a web site
online?
The
easiest and most affordable web site is a one page web site.
This would provide the viewer information about you or your
company in a simple format. You can include a
paragraph of what your company is about and how they can
contact you all on this one page. This option is great
for those start up companies who would like to add sub pages
on at a later date.
Can
we see the website before it is completed?
You
sure can. Western Webpages sets up a "test"
atmosphere so that you can see the site as it is being
created. You can then tell us if there is something
you would like changed or added before it becomes live.
What
type of files do you accept?
With word processing we accept Word, Word Perfect, Adobe
PDF. We also just take text typed in an email message.
This can then be easily transferred to your web pages.
For graphic files, please try to send them in either a .jpeg
or .gif format.
Do
you accept credit cards?
Yes! Western Webpages has it's own merchant
account under the name Country Life. We
also provide a secure server to handle the transaction if it
is made over the internet. Or we can take your credit
card number via the phone, fax or in person. This
makes it very convenient when paying for your web site and
also the monthly hosting fees.
How much do I have to pay up front?
We ask for 25% of the total charge up front when we
begin your website. The remaining 75% is paid after
the site has been completed and is up and live on the
internet with your acceptance.
When
do I own the web site?
Western
Webpages hands over ownership of the web site once it has
been completely paid for. An invoice will be written
up at the completion of the web site stating that you are
the rightful owner after Western Webpages receives
payment in full. If you cannot afford to pay the full
amount at the completion of your web site, we do provide a
monthly billing cycle for up to 6 months with credit card
transactions only.
What
can I expect when my web site is completed?
Many people think that once they have a web site, their
business will start booming. This can be the case if
it is promoted accurately. It will however take some
time for people to know about your web site. We link
your website to 10 top search engines when it is live and
also include keywords that you provide so it can be found on
the search engines. It also helps to include your web
site address on all of your business cards, brochures and
any ad displays you may indulge in. If you would like
to use our specialized internet promotion please contact us
for information.
